Stablesmates Horse and Pony Club was the brain child of Doug McNany and Dan Krieble. They wanted to create a place where families could get together, show their horses, and just spend the weekend having fun with other families, making new friends and giving kids something other to do than sit in front of a T.V.

We are a Not for Profit club that was designed for families. The club has both Pleasure and Game classes and we enjoy just spending time together with friends. Our shows are held at the Venango Co. 4-H Fairgrounds in Franklin, PA. We hold 2 weekend shows a month making for a total of 4 shows a month. Many of our members are 4-H kids who have come from all over Western PA to practice. 95% of the 4-H kids who competed in 2004 went on to districts and 7 even traveled to States. We try to make the shows as fun as possible and do use certified Judges for the Pleasure shows. Some of our Judges have even asked to comeback and judge again and a couple have comeback and ridden.

Our Members compete for points that are accumulated based on their placing in the classes. The points accumulated are tallied at the end of the year and at our year end awards banquet, prizes such as Saddles, Bridles, turnout blankets, and other horse related prizes are awarded.
